Half of our clients live outside Portugal. The other half are Portuguese who need to resolve matters that cross borders. The firm was created to serve both with the same seriousness.
2018 — founding
We founded the firm in 2018, two partners with more than two decades of individual experience in Portuguese law, with the simple idea of not growing except out of genuine necessity. Eight years later we have kept the idea: four lawyers, one trainee lawyer and two assistants, with offices in Porto and Lisbon.
The method
i · Read everything
The responsible partner reads the entire matter before the first reply. We do not delegate substantive content to unnamed teams — every signature has a named author and a bar number.
ii · Write short
One-page drafts, three-page memos, opinions kept to the minimum necessary space. Brevity is not laziness — it is the only real favour the profession can do for its clients.
iii · Meet deadlines
An internal deadline and a legal deadline for every matter, communicated in writing at the outset and revised every fortnight. If a deadline slips, the client is the first to know.
We accept what we can do by hand. The rest we refer to trusted colleagues.

Ethics
We are bound by the Portuguese Bar Association Statute (Law 145/2015) and by Law 6/2024 on legal advertising. We do not publish success rates, we do not make comparisons with other firms, we do not solicit clientele — deontological rules are not an aesthetic limit, they are the very way one practises this profession with dignity.

A working office in central Lisbon, at Marquês de Pombal, for clients based in or near the capital. It serves as a regular point of contact and meeting space — case coordination is centralised at the Porto head office.
